Tattooing doesn't actually push ink in with the needles (plural! real tattoo equipment has multiple thin tapered needles soldered together in a tight cluster) a phenomenon called capillary action wicks the ink into the holes the needles make and that only works if they are very small holes, like the xylem tubes inside a tree.
